  Each directory contains a "READ-ME" file like this one. Each file
  contains ASCII text with one of the following file name extensions:
  
    .est - Estelle specification
    
    .lot - LOTOS specification
    
    .sdl - SDL specification
    
    .tex - TeX, to be printed with LaTeX or PicTeX macros
  
  End-of-line in these files is LF in accordance with Unix conventions. If
  the files are transferred to an MS-DOS system, change this to CR/LF. If
  the files are transferred to a Macintosh system, change this to CR only.
  
  Note that it has not been possible to include Encapsulated PostScript
  diagrams from the book due to copyright restrictions; the PostScript
  files created by drawing packages contain dictionaries that remain
  the property of the package manufacturers.
